Geography
The extractive industry provides opportunities for students of A level geography to develop an understanding of the physical processes of the Earth and of the interrelationships between people and their environments. Learning about the extractive industry enables students to acquire a deeper understanding of the characteristics of the physical environment, resource exploitation and management, and ecosystems at both small and large scales.
The extractive industry can provide case studies linked to A level geography and can also provide opportunities for fieldstudies.
