Industrial Technology

 

Industrial technology professionals are responsible for the cutting edge technology used in the extractive industry to minimise environmental impacts, improve health and safety, increase mineral recovery, develop processing routes, and improve plant operations.

 

Industrial technology professionals implement various and relevant programs and projects in different areas and divisions such as planning and management, technology packaging and promotion, enterprise development, consultancy services, applied communication and technology commercialisation.

They prepare pre-feasibility studies, feasibility studies and business plans for selected technologies to establish not only the economic viability of adopting/using the technology but also to guide scientists in their R&D efforts to further improve the technology.

 

Personal requirements include entrepreneurial and innovative strengths, the ability to work as a team and work independently, a precise and methodical approach, and good communication skills.
